Positive: Location. Shops close by. Since it was summertime it was very hot even with ceiling fan and 2 standard fans. The fale had aircon unit in the bedroom but to save power we decided not to use the aircon.

Negative: There were annoying various insects inside the fale possibly due to being at the height of summer.Recommend a pest exterminator to spray the fale. Also replacing the toaster as it failed to stay down so had to hold the lever to get toast. One of the large knives has a loose handle.

Summary: Great place for short family holiday. I will post photos I took of the fale on the day we vacated.

Positive: Great no frills accommodation, short walk from local shops. The water from the tap is safe to drink but we found it wasn't refreshing and had a taste, there is a filtered water station a short walk away. We brought a couple of 3L bottles and filled them up and kept them chilled. Fridge is a good size to keep a few coconuts cool ready to drink. Accommodation is set back from the main road. Bed was comfortable. 2 beach towels were also supplied which was great. There is a ceiling fan in the main area and 2 other portable fans which are definitely needed to keep the place cool. There is a couple of different brooms which were helpful to keep the floor clean (very easy to walk bits inside as there is no paths which seems typical for the island) Handful of really good restaurants 10min drive away. Definitely recommend hiring a car, the island isn't made for walking. Hosts were very helpful with local tips and responded quickly to our questions, a very relaxing stay would highly recommend staying here.

Negative: Unfortunately no windows in the bedroom had mosquito nets so we had to keep them closed at night making the room warm. The chairs on the deck are different to those in the photo and not very comfortable as the backs are too up right to relax.

Positive: Very nice central location so it was easy getting anywhere on the island. We enjoyed watching the local chicken and rooster group and had two friendly dogs around lots of the time. Quiet, lots of outdoor room. Friendly neighbours. Everything worked, plenty of power points, but there were a couple of power cuts too.

Negative: Chairs on deck uncomfortable. Water in shower sometimes went cold for a while, but not for long. Quite expensive for what it was, but that's Niue.

Summary: A very nice, simple place to stay and enjoy Niue's delights.

Positive: Location - perfect, right at Alofi, 5-10min walk to all need including numerous snorkling places, dining options, the Port (plenty of action going on when ship arrived for unloading and loading).

Summary: Niue - beautiful island rock, stunning snorkling and coastline and wonderful locals.

Positive: The place is very nice, clean, in very close proximity to one of the shopping centres and the wharf, in a beautiful island in the middle of the Pacific. Managers were very accommodating with the payment terms - NAB didn't make transferring money to PayPal so other payment arrangements were made available. It comes with a comfortable queen bed in the bedroom and a futon in the living room. Spacious bathroom, kitchenette comes with sink, microwave, cutlery, and so on, except for a cooking stove. A sandwich press, a toaster are available though. Plenty of fans to keep air flowing. Will definitely come back.

Negative: The only issue I had, was the humidity, but that's to be expected in this time of the year (February).
